System Requirements

MonsterDB is written as a 32bit Windows application in Visual Basic 6.0 and requires the Visual Basic Runtime Library - Version 6.0 and the Microsoft Data Access Controls to be installed. Please be sure to install MDAC 2.5 or later. Note: MDAC 2.6 and above require a seperate download of the MS_JET SP3 files. These may not be needed on WindowsXP or 2000 depending on your configuration.

The database is stored in Microsoft Access 2000 format and includes forms for easy data entry and browsing of the records. MySQL, Excel and additonal dataformats are available upon request.

MonsterDB has been tested on Windows 98/98SE/ME/NT4/2000 and XP at resolutions of 800x600 and above. If you have gotten it to work, or failed to get it to work, on other platforms please let me know so I can update this list. Note: MDAC uses DCOM98, users of Windows 95 would need to install/update this component. Unfortunately MS restricts developers from shipping DCOM98 to customers. You must retrieve the file directly from the Microsoft Web Site. Windows 95 is not supported but has been reported to work from some users.
